Good visit with Megan and Booker

We had a good visit with our daughter and son-in-law this week. They flew down from Pennsylvania last week and stated our house. The biggest goal for the week was just to relax and we did a lot!  I took a couple of days off from work so we could stuff together. We went to the farmer's market and bought all the stuff for a crab boil, then had a crab boil in our garage because it was cold and rainy that night. The crab boil was delicious even though it was raining outside and we had to do it in our garage. That was a lot of fun!

We enjoyed taking them to church Sunday and then having our traditional pizza on Sunday night while watching a couple of episodes of The Mandalorian.  We went to the aquarium one day, too.

We enjoyed having them and are looking forward to future visits, either down here or up there in Pennsylvania. Fun!

Good visit with Taylor

Taylor and her boyfriend Aaron came by for a visit this weekend (woohoo!), so we took them to stone Mountain so they could say they've been there and did most of the thing available. We did their "Sky Hike" rope course, which was a lot of fun - Kevin and Stephen even did the Super Challenge 3 stories up! It was lots of fun! We saw the 4D movie, rode the cable car to the top of the mountain, then walked down the mountainand rode the train back to where the van was parked. Our picnic lunch was delicious, and it was cool to be able to see our van from the top of the mountain. Taylor and Aaron seemed to enjoy it, and since we've got annual passes we're planning on going back several times this yea

Good visit with Tim English

Tim is a friend of ours from when we were in school in Florida, so we've known him for a long time. He and his family live in Birmingham, but even though we're relatively close (2.5 hours) and we exchange Christmas cards almost every year we've never gotten together. Well, he had a flight out of Atlanta for a business trip and contacted us to see if we could get together. Sue and I were excited to have him come and stay with us last night, and enjoyed catching up on what's been happening and how things are going for him and his family. It was a short visit, but very nice to get to spend time with him. Thanks, Tim!
