Our daughter Megan turns 21 today! She is doing fabulous - going to school at GPC, working at Truett's Grill, helping out with the kids at church, and having fun with life. We're very proud of how she is doing and excited about her future. Go, Megan!

Megan's home!
She came home from working at a camp in Pennsylvania this summer. She had a great time and learned lots but seems glad to be home. The biggest difference is that she thinks it's really hot down here now :-) We're glad she's back and will be starting the fall semester at GPC soon.

Happy Easter!
We hope you have a great resurrection celebration today! We enjoyed having all our kids home for the weekend - Sue made enchilada casserole and we played games and had fun. We went to the Saturday evening church service, which was great, and then we are helping out today.

Spring break is here!
The kids are out on spring break, and everyone is really enjoying the great weather we are having here in Georgia. I have to go work in Augusta to help support the Masters tournament, which should be a lot of fun. Megan is still in school, and the kids and Sue will be doing something fun, I'm sure. Hope you're having a blast doing your thing - give us a call, ping, or ring when you get a chance!

New-to-us vehicle!
We purchased a 2006 VW Jetta yesterday. It's in great shape and will hopefully last a number of years. Sue has been taking assignments and making commitments to interpret that are far from home, and this will help her get there and back safely. Plus it's sporty and has turbo! Should be a fun car to drive...

Snow in Georgia!
Well, the forecast was correct - we have snow in Georgia! It started earlier today an continues to fall here at 4:45pm. The boys are out with neighbor kids having fun playing in it, but I'm holed up inside the house trying to stay warm!
I guess it's a function of the whole global warming/climate change thing - the weather changes every day and will continue to change for the rest of my life! LOL
Oh, well, I'm sure we'll enjoy these days of cold and then really enjoy the spring when it gets here. Throw another log on the fire and get a blanket!

My family is international!
Megan flew back from Spain today in DAL109, and Sue left on a mission trip to Mexico on DAL531. Above is a screen shot from me tracking them today. What an amazing thing to have two members of my family in the air at the same time on international trips!
2014 is off to a great start - I can't wait to see what else the Lord has in store for us this year!

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! We celebrated by watching Narnia movies all night and then banging pots on the front porch in the cold when the peach dropped at midnight. Mom Emery was still up so she drank some grape juice with sprite with us, and we had a blast! Kevin was wiped out and slept through most of it, and Stephen was up and having fun the entire time. We celebrated with Megan and Paula over in Spain again this year, which was a lot of fun - we at all 11 grapes in the 11 seconds so we should have a lucky year :-)
Sue is geared up for another mission trip, this one to Mexico. Megan is coming home. Jacob is graduated from college and the boys are ready for school to start back up. And I am continuing in my role with the FAA with no changes in sight. Life is good! It's going to be a great year!
