Anne getting better

She was moved from the hospital to a rehab center this week.  She is recovering well from the stroke but still can't feel when she swallows something and it goes down the airway.  They are going to work on strengthening her tongue and throat muscles as well as teach her how to administer her medicine through her stomach tube.  God is helping her heal well! 

Had a nice vacation

We had a great vacation this summer.  We got to go to Florida and stay with my parents, then went to Universal Studios and had a great time riding rides, went to Daytona Beach for an afternoon, and just relaxed at the house.  It was fun! 

Anne still in hospital

Our friend and had a stroke on Wednesday night. we had ever taken from our house to the hospital in an ambulance. The stroke was in her middle brain so she still has good cognitive ability, but she has lost the use of her right arm and most of the use of her right leg. She has a lot of difficulty swallowing and is going to have to have a stomach feeding tube a surgically inserted. 
she is at Southern Regional Medical Center, still in ICU today but should be up on the third floor in physical therapy probably next week. If you want to send her a card send it to our address and we'll be happy to deliver it to her. And if you get a chance go by the hospital and visit her.  It would really boost your spirits.

Last day of school!

Paula, Stephen, and Kevin are very excited that school is ending.  Paula has a test but the boys just have goof-off days today.  I hope everyone has fun!

Today is Paula's 16th birthday - woohoo!  She's having getting through the end of the school year and getting geared up to go back to Spain.   We will be taking her out to Red Lobster to celebrate tonight.  Happy birthday, Paula! 
 

Happy birthday, Jacob!

Our oldest son turns 21 today - woohoo!  He is doing so well, getting good grades in college, working, and taking on more and more responsibility.  He is planning on moving to Atlanta over the summer, which will be a big change, and is geared up to finish his Bachelor's degree in Psychology by the end of December.  Sue and I are very proud of him!

Our 3rd child is 14 today - woohoo!  He is doing well in school, singing well in the youth band, and an all-around good guy.  He's gotten tall, now taller than both Susan and I, and is getting stronger, too.  We're taking him and some of his friends to see Iron Man 3 and having barbecue today to celebrate.  Happy birthday, son!
