Great visit with Jacob and Jessica

Jacob and Jessica came up and spent the weekend with us. We enjoyed having them and the dogs around the house! It was fun to go to the Yellow Daisy Festival with them and enjoyed exploring the shops and McDonough Square with them. I'm proud of how well they are doing!

Jacob and Jessica came up and went to the Yellow Daisy Festival with us and Kevin. Beautiful day, lots of cool stuff displayed by the vendors, and good food for lunch. Fun!

Happy birthday, Kevin!

We had a good time celebrating Kevin's birthday with him, his fiancee, and her parents yesterday. Mexican food, cake, and brownies. Happy birthday, son! 

Nice visit with Jacob and Jessica

I was down in Florida to get some stuff fixed at the little house. On the way back I went up to spend the night with Jacob and Jessica. We had a fun evening at a UCF football game watch party and then chilled at the house. Fun!

Happy birthday to me! Life continues to be an adventure with ups and downs, twists and turns, and surprises. Level 61 looks like another great year!

Great trip to Guyana

We went to Guyana for 12 days to help with mission work and to support friends who are from there. Outside of the ministry activities we got to do a lot of fun things like walk on the sea wall at night, eat dinner and watch the sunset from the sea wall, shop in Stabroek Market, enjoy lots of delicious fresh food and baked items, see all three of the major rivers in Guyana, cross two of those rivers on floating bridges, and took a small airplane tour to see Kaieteur Falls. The trip was amazing!

Happy anniversary to us!

Sue and I celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary today - woohoo! 

We've had a lot of fun along the way and continue to find new adventures. We enjoy our adult children and are really enjoying our two grandchildren. God has blessed us in so many ways it's amazing. Thank you to everyone who helped and prayed and guided and supported us! 

Kevin played at Bridge City

Fun to see him playing keyboards with some new people at a different church. He went to help a guy that goes around to different churches leading worship and filling in. Sue and I felt like his "groupies". Go, Kevin!

Fun night at the Fox Theater

Sue and I enjoyed going to Erick Erickson 's "Not Safe For Radio" show at the fabulous Fox Theater tonight! It was a one-time show he set up to help celebrate his 50th birthday. It was a fundraiser and all the proceeds went to the Christian school his kids go to. 

We enjoyed dinner next door and then went in to general admission seats in the Egyptian ballroom. Fun to hear some good stories about how he came up. And awesome being out with my wife. Fun!

Top down ride

Enjoyed riding around neighborhoods with the top down this evening. Hearing all the sounds of cicadas and fireworks was awesome!

Good trip to Charleston

Sue and I enjoyed visiting Dan, Andrea, Tracy. and Rick in Charleston this week. We got to eat dinner with Tracy and the family, visited the Angel Oak Tree, have a birthday dinner with Andrea, and then explore Charleston for an afternoon. Fun! 

Fun double-date

Sue and I had a good time on a double-date with our friends Brian and Tiffany tonight! We went to a Christian comedy show at a church near us. The comedians were great! And it was cool to be in a building where we used to "do church" at several years ago. Fun! 

Enjoyed the movie

Sue and I enjoyed going to see the latest Mission Impossible movie on opening weekend. We watched part one last night then went and saw the new one on an Imax screen, which made it even more amazing. Fun ride!

Jacob and Jessica got married!

We were thrilled and proud to be at our oldest son Jacob's wedding today! He married his girlfriend Jessica in St. Augustine in a small venue, then everyone who came to the wedding walked to a restaurant and enjoyed a catered dinner and time together. I was honored to give a toast to the bride and groom during the dinner, and enjoyed hearing Jessica's father toast them also. Beautiful! 

Nice dinner with the kids

We met Kevin, Madison, Megan, Booker, and the girls at a pizza place in Palm Coast for dinner. It was great to see them! 

We are all in the area for our oldest son's wedding that is happening tomorrow. 

Great to get some time with the family before the big event!

Kevin earned his Bachelor's degree!

Great to go to our youngest son Kevin's graduation ceremony where he was awarded his Bachelor of the Arts degree in Music today. It took him 5 years but he stuck with it and earned the degree. Congratulations, Kevin! 

Enjoyed Kevin's last college concert

The concert tonight in Spivey Hall is the last one he'll be in before he graduates with his Bachelor's degree from Clayton State. He sang a wonderful solo in an Irish poem song that brought a tear to my eye and a smile to my lips. He also sang with everyone else in a bunch of other songs. 

Good job, Kevin! 

Fun Easter with family

We traveled to Pennsylvania to spend Easter weekend with Megan. Booker, and our granddaughters. What a fun time! 

We relaxed at the house with the kids quite a bit, and even took care of them one night so Megan and Booker could have a date night. That night we made brownies and cooked hamburgers and fries with Grace.

Enjoyed fish at Catholic church

We've enjoyed the fried fish at a local Catholic church on Friday evenings this Lenten season. We've gone three times and even took our son Kevin there for dinner this past Friday. 

They're a nice bunch of people, and it's fun to see and hear what they have been doing in the community. We're honest when they ask if we go there and tell people about our church with no issues. 

Fun to share the Easter season experience this way!

Enjoyed Cherry Blossom Festival

Sue and I drove to Macon and walked around at the Cherry Blossom Festival there. Beautiful day! We enjoyed some blooms but they weren't cherry blossoms and enjoyed shopping and people watching. Fun day together! 

Good date night at church

Our church has done some form of a "date night" in the spring for the past few years. It's a fun night out for couples and good teaching from a guest speaker each year. For dinner we picked up fish from the Catholic Church fish fry and brought it to eat with the others at our church before the big event. We got to meet a really nice couple while we were eating. Fun! 

Toured City of Refuge

My wife and I toured City of Refuge, a place helping people get out of bad situations and in the road to better lives in downtown Atlanta. They have a lot of good things that are doing, and we're glad that it church is supporting their efforts. Good stuff! 

Great Pi Day!

We celebrated Pi Day in Florida this year. We were out in the field to watch for the SpaceX launch then had some delicious pecan pie. Woohoo! 

Enjoyed some music

Sue and I enjoyed going to a friend of ours play and sing last night. Steve has been in the music business for a long time, and he and his band have been the openers on tour with Metallica and others in the past. He puts on a good show! 

Kevin in an opera

We traveled to Panama City to see our son Kevin in the opera "La Traviata". He traveled there with the Peach State Opera and has enjoyed being in the show. They were in Brunswick, GA, last week and will travel to do the show in Kentucky next week. Good job, Kevin!

Good visit with Megan

Our daughter Megan was feeling adventurous so she flew down from Pennsylvania with her two children. We really enjoyed getting some time with our grandchildren! And it was great that Megan was able to be here for the big birthday celebration we had for Sue. Fun! 

Happy birthday, Sue!

We had a good time celebrating Sue's birthday. Our daughter Megan came down from PA with her two children and we had a great visit with our grandchildren. I asked some friends to put together a surprise party for Sue at a local Mexican restaurant and everything came together beautifully. A great celebration!

Enjoyed some snow

It was fun having snow at our house this weekend! Beautiful until it started melting, then all the silly stuff started.
