Happy Thanksgiving!

We're so blessed to be able to celebrate Thanksgiving with our family! This year we were able to go to Pennsylvania and spend some time with our daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. And our youngest son flew up to get some Uncle time!

It's so rewarding to see our children raising children and prospering. I hope that you see the blessings of God in your life this holiday season!

Good group semester

We had a really good time hosting a group from our church this semester! We went through the book "Undistracted" by Bob Goff and enjoyed his stories and the encouragement to find joy in pursuing God's purposes for us. Fun!

David published a book

One of my life goals has been to publish a book. I finished this up and self-published using the Amazon Kindle stuff that's available.

Good ride to see leaves

Sue and I had a good time driving the Miata through the north Georgia mountains this weekend! We drove to Cleveland, GA, then headed west through Dahlonega to Adairsville. We had the top down most of the way through the mountains but started getting some light rain as we approached Adairsville. It was amazing to see all the oranges and reds mixed with the evergreens on the two-lane roads. With the top down we could hear the leaves crunch under the tires and swirl behind us, which was amazing!

We enjoyed our first "bed and breakfast" experience, too. The house had been built in 1895 and lovingly restored by a couple next door, and the breakfast they served was delicious! We enjoyed getting to know them.

Good trip!

Remembering our ancestors

I watched the animated Disney movie "Coco" earlier this year and really enjoyed it. The movie focused on events around Día de la Muerta, the Day of the Dead. It's a day to remember our ancestors so that they live on in the afterlife.

While I don't believe in that way I find that I do enjoy remembering those who went before us.
